mercury has gone direct ladies and gentlemen! it is no longer in retrograde!

dark and cloudy this morning, burned off by afternoon, turned out to be a breezy sunny day. can still hear the squirrels dropping a few of their harvested acorns on the roof next door. fall is definitely here.
time to put away summer and dust off the fall gear.
time to look inward and prepare our health for the colder days to come.
and in our look inward see what we are letting go, and being with the whatever comes up. and remember grief is held in the lungs, the fall is the season of the lungs (traditional chinese medicine) a time of re-spirit-ing (respiratory). approaching this season with the awareness of energetic releasing will support us through the weather change. it is the natural cycle of things to watch the leaves change and then fall.

got hypnotized by magic today and found myself brewing up a cordial - hot sweet and sticky turned out to be a love potion.
a love drop...from the finger of cupid, pricked by his very own arrow, the nectar of love, a potent incantation to find your soulmate.

harvested from the realm of imagination, magic and my liquor cabinet.

with silent soundz as my muse.

the aquarian moon is the community moon, thinking of our circle - the betterment of our tribe. the village it takes to change the old patterns that are no longer in service of the greater good of things. surpassing the individual and looking at the whole. who have you surrounded yourself with?

lotion bar day!
today amaterasu and i made lotion bars.
using cold pressed olive oil infused with calendula, chocolate butter, local honey bees wax, mango butter, delightful essential oil blends and natural coloring from plants and even gold. see the picture; this particular lotion bar is gold leafed with swirls of shiny mica and infused with vetiver, a deep woody scent with a top note of tart grapefruit. now wouldn't you want to partake in that?

we also made a special wild chamomile lotion bar. the chamomile is special to my heart because i wild crafted it here in the bay area from a huge field of beautiful flowers.
very special indeed.

'The Birth of Venus,' William-Adolphe Bouguereau (1825-1905).
a look to the sky.
north node is direct today and tomorrow, giving us a moment to see where we have grown. the north node is almost always in retrograde, so this is a direct connection. the moon is also trine with venus. a trine gives us benefit with out effort, good being returned from former lifetimes, focused on venus the goddess of love, beauty and relationships, it also represents creative expression.

today the sky is simple. the reminder is love, laugh and be merry. you have done the work, take a load off and enjoy the splendor of full expression. remember to see the beauty in things, not be caught up in "what it's trying to say" (mercury is still retrograde) but the sheer appreciation of being. hold the hands of the ones you love with deep soul connection and express, through the eyes, your gratitude.

this capricorn moon taps into old wisdom of how things work, holding the seat of tool master. under the sun phase of libra, our zodiac balance.

aurora came over today to discuss the final touches of the icon.
and i'm pleased to say it is all coming along marvelously!

i'm grateful to her, she was able to capture, the cup, scarab, snake, feather and the new moon with waning and waxing. tomorrow she will have the final image ready! this is very exciting! thank you, aurora (aka ja').

had a productive meeting with the sensible stamper about new packaging ideas and hand made paper, shaped into boxes for the flower essence collection coming out. imagine a trio of flower essences, designed to support a vision quest, help tap into different energetic phases during a transition and to add intentional magic.

marisa, amaterasu and i sat in circle this evening, with the intention of coming up with thoughtful flower essence combinations. it turned into an evening of magic and emotion, with sparkles of laughter.
coming soon are the flower essences of:
  • chia
  • desert lavender
  • monkey flower
  • yarrow
  • indigo
  • desert mallow

lovely warm fall day here in california, gentle wind - barely stirring.
the saguitarius moon bringings out the emotional traveler, galloping toward a target and making your mark.
it has felt like everything is set out for me, as if my psychic mind has been going ahead, perfectly unwrapping moments, waiting to be simply enjoyed.

in fact on my way home today i was thinking of chocolate cake, and when i arrived, guess what was on the counter top?! a bag of brownie mix, with the pyrex 8x8 waiting to be filled with its goodness!

isn't it wonderful how the universe is conspiring to help us?

i polished off my altars and placed yesterdays acorn harvest all around my nest, just as the squirrels would. a reminder of the abundance that surrounds me, here are pictures to share:

this celebration marks balance between summer and fall. today the sun and moon share an equal time in the sky. our long summer days are giving way to the season change, as our fall harvest comes into play. time to reap what we've sewn, and i foresee a bounty.

there is a lovely oak tree in my neighbors backyard, for the last week the squirrels have been dropping acorns on the roof and with each crack on the shingles i am reminded to do the same. harvest, prepare for the winter by gathering all of what is needed.

to honor the squirrels reminder i went out to my backyard and picked up a handful of acorns.
