Below is a quick version of my intake form. Included are the body systems and different symptoms of Deficiency and Excess. Deficiency suggests a system that isn't operating at its optimal capacity, under working. Excess suggests a system that is over working, probably taxing other systems.

- E) Stools loose with gas

- E) Dark soft stools
Liver
- D) Dry, even scaly skin
- E) Moist, sometimes oil skin
- D) Hay fever or asthma
- E) Hives from food or drugs
Kidney
- D) Standing too quickly makes pulse roar in ears
- E) Standing too quickly causes faintness, dizziness
- D) Moderate to low blood pressure, craves sweets
- E) Moderate to high blood pressure, craves fats
Lower UI
- D) Frequent urination, small amounts
- E) Infrequent urination, copious amounts
Reproductive - (men and women)
- D) Dry skin, cold hands and feet
- E) Sweat freely with strong scent
Reproductive - (women)
- D) Cycle more then 28 days
- E) Cycle less then 28 days
Reproductive - (men)
- D) Pain or ache after orgasm
- D) Difficult maintaining erection even if in the mood
Respiratory
- D) Shortness of Breath when standing or walking
- E) Easy coughing of mucus
- D) Sometimes wakes up chocking or gasping for breath
- E) Sometimes hyperventilates
Cardiovascular
- D) Fast, light pulse
- E) Slow, strong pulse
- D) Hypertension, not responding to diuretic
- E) Hypertension, responds to diuretics
Lymphatic
- D) Injuries heal slowly
- E) Injuries heal quickly
- D) Digests fats poorly
- E) Digests fats easily
Skin
- D) Skin eruptions deep, not coming to a head
- E) Skin eruptions, superficial, comes to a head
- D) Dry scalp or hair
- E) Oily scalp or hair
Mucus
- D) Lips often dry or chapped
- D) Gets sore throat easily
Nerves
- D) Depressed for long periods of time
- E) Body jolts
- D) Chronic fatigue, depression
- E) Facial twitches
Now you know which systems are Excessive and Deficient.
What's interesting is the body is connected as a whole series of systems. Like a collection of instruments playing together to build up the song that is you. When your feeling out of tune, it can effect your whole being. The cause may be a simple imbalance. When these simple imbalances are not supported, your body starts to turn up the volume on another body system. Imagine it, your guitar looses a string so your drum has to beat faster, harder to compensate. It throws off your whole inner song.
It is important to take note when our bodies systems are not in harmony. In fact it is the first step to preventative healthcare.
Here's an example:
First you notice, 'hey - my blood sugar is really low and has been low for months.' So, you may eat a snack, but really you may need to have a look at what's happening with your kidney. Having a look at your kidney you may notice your adrenals, which sit right on top of your kidneys. In noticing your adrenals you may notice you've been feeling really stressed out for longer then you've been experiencing your low blood sugar...
If you change your stress patterns and nourish your nervous system you'll reduce your adrenals workload. By supporting your adrenals you lift the pressure off your kidneys allowing for proper metabolism of insulin. The hormone insulin is a main regulator of the glucose (sugar) levels in the blood. Insulin helps the body take in sugar and use it as an energy source. Sugar is one of the top energy sources for the body. The body gets it in many forms that are broken down to glucose during the digestive process. Therefore nourishing the body and preventing low blood sugar.
