sunday morning in west oakland, jamming out to glorious music riding back seat in Sophia's car, headed toward brunch. she asks, "hey, hand me that orange," i do. and she rolls down the window to pass a dollar and the orange to a fellow with a sign that reads, "anything helps." then he says, are you headed to church?" i reply, "this is church!" he smiles, teeth missing and places his hand over his heart, gratitude in his eyes.

feels good to have surrounded myself with generous, compassionate people who see an opportunity to give a dollar/orange to the basket of god on the corner of life. this moment made holy, by conscious choice.

incredible start to our earth day.
