It's Sunday and I crave Filipino food.
I haven't eaten rice in over a year, as a kid it was a staple and today I craved it.
I've been practicing being grain free (yeah, that's right no gluten, rice, wheat, corn, oats, etc.) as an experiment and it's an interesting journey. My inflammation has seriously diminished! So, I am slow in my reintroduction to Kombu/Bay leaf soaked wild organic rice. But, I figure, cravings might be a message to nourish something.
SO, tonight I make:
Tomato stewed sardines
Simple, familiar Filipino food.
Sauteed together then covered to steam for a while, until all is tender.
Suka sliced cucumbers
Rice

Rice
- Organic wild rice
- Rinsed
- Soaked in kombu, and 1 bay leaf for hours

Sardines are a great way of taking in omega 3 fish oils. Omega 3's are healthy fats to nourish our brains and veins. Supporting our minds in having smooth clear thinking while giving our bodies a healthy oil change.
Good for you food.
